Devlog Start
Hello all,
We have decided to relaunch our game with a devlog!
We had a pretty disheartening experience recently that made us decide to unpublish our game and take a moment to reflect. In that time, we had some great conversations with friends/ loved ones. We have decided we just have to get all that much more vocal about our process and who we are. With that being said, we are going to take it on the chin! Expect artbooks, streaming, and regular devlogs to come!
Making games has been some of the most challenging but rewarding things we have ever done. Heather and I conceptualized our Love After Life idea sometime last year, I believe around October, and since then we have been obsessed. We have had weekly meetings about the project ever since. We are still learning and figuring our style and voice, but we know that we are going to get there. For the past 3 months, we have been treating this project like a part-time job. We've used game jams as a way to give ourselves deadlines and push ourselves to learn how to do things faster.
To quote wise words from our developer, o080o, "We learned something valuable: we need to prove our humanity to the world. We can do that next time." and to quote even wiser words from our writer Taylor "Ass too fat, steak too juicy, art too good."
